Free Places on Teesside  University Accredited Commissioning & Engagement Training Courses

Uni Bursaries are special funding packages to support individuals and staff who would not normally get training funding, and they also will help where there is a limited training budget to access top quality university accredited training courses. They are for a wide range of individuals working in NHS health and social care, primary care practice staff and lay people.

The Uni Bursaries have been designed on a match funding basis, therefore organisations can get one free place for every bought place on any one of five university accredited engagement and involvement, and commissioning training courses. This means that NHS PCT clusters, GP Consortia and Local Authorities can invest in training with the knowledge that they will generate twice the return on their investment. The courses can be held at Unique Improvements awarding winning headquarters in Liverpool or if there is high demand in an area they can be delivered in that location resulting in additional savings.

The five courses eligible for bursaries are listed below:

• Introduction to Commissioning – 20 credits at Level 4.
• Improving Commissioning – 60 Credits at Level 6.
• Developing Skills for Effective Participation and Involvement – 20 credits at Level 4.
• Introduction to Service User and Citizen Engagement and Involvement– 20 credits at Level 4.
• Service Improvement through Engagement and Involvement – 60 credits at Level 6.

All the above courses are accredited by our academic partner Teesside University – University of the year 2009
