Leading a team requires more than simply managing a group of activities; it requires an understanding and an application of leadership skills. So what are leadership skills and why are they so different to management skills?
This short course is designed to provide just some of those answers. Although each course will be tailored to meet the needs of the organisations involved, indicative content includes:
- Understanding leadership
- The different types of leadership – a self analysis
- Creating a vision and explaining the ‘bigger picture’
- Developing the team and the importance of ‘the right people on the bus’
- Coaching and mentoring
- Networking and supporting the team
The only entry requirements are an open mind and a willingness to learn.
