We often confuse equality and diversity and consider them as interchangeable words but there are significant differences in their meaning. This short equality and diversity training course is designed to help delegates understand those differences and gain a personal insight into how their actions can influence the behaviour of those around them. The course is structured to allow delegates to explore difference and gain an understanding of the positive benefits of a diverse workforce. Indicative content includes:
- Equality & Diversity – understanding the difference
- Stereotyping – what does this mean to me?
- Understanding discrimination
- The impact of prejudice
- Rights and responsibilities
- What does the law have to do with it?
The only entry requirements are an open mind and a willingness to learn.
